Harvest Girl

This weekend marked our third annual trek out to Cloud Mountain Farm's Fruit Festival in Everson. Walking through the farm's beautiful orchards, sampling a billion apples, and enjoying the sight of Northwesterners donned in their freshly fetched woolies marks the official start of Fall for us, and we look forward to it all year along. This weekend lived up to our expectations. We enjoyed our first true Fall weekend of the season with chilly winds and beaming sunshine. Idyllic, for sure.

While Stella didn't exactly swoon at the prospect of tasting over fifty varieties of apples - the girl likes fruit, but come on - she dredged up some serious enthusiasm and artistic vision when we spotted the pumpkin painting table.

Summoning her vision...

...and diving in.

And who knew planting a lavender seedling would be that much more thrilling when you get to paint your own terra cotta pot.

I love how Stella quietly sips her freshly pressed apple cider with all the big guys.

And of course, no visit to the farm is complete without a ride in the wheelbarrow with a load of apples, pumpkins and gourds. After such a fabulous Summer, we're thoroughly enjoying the onset of Fall and all that such gorgeous harvests bring.
