Pals

Stella is so lucky to have a pal like Isaac. They shared the same due date and seem to be soul mates already.

Papa's Home!

After ten days of Papalessness, Stella got her main man back. Over the four day weekend, they couldn't get enough of eachother.
Here she is showing Papa how she can now roll over.

And here is a rare moment where Stella is actually still (and quite serious). It's worth documenting since she is normally a mover and shaker. She seems to be training for a marathon.

Story Time

Stella loves story time after her bath. Here she listens intently as Grandpa reads to her. Lucky kid.

Sitting Up for Love

Papa's coming home. Papa's coming home. Papa's coming home.
How do I look?
Happy Valentine's Day!

Obama Baby!

Hi, Papa! I know you’re far away in Austria right now, but I miss you a lot and want to tell you about my busy week.

Right after you left, I got to see Grandma Jannie. She helped me eat peas for the first time, and she helped Mama give me a bath. (They did okay, but I miss my bath time with you.) It was really nice to see Grandma Jannie; she's so nice. She gave me a book about kitties that I can’t wait to read with you.

Then Mama and I drove to Seattle to visit Grandma and Poppy. Mama and Grandma took me to see Barack Obama speak at the Key Arena. We didn’t get to see him give his whole speech because I napped too long at Grandma’s house and fifteen thousand other people got there before us. But he did speak to me (and three thousand others) for a few minutes as I waited happily in the freezing cold. (There I am above - toasty warm. I don’t know why Mama didn’t wear a fleece snow suit and BabyLegs like me. Big people are silly.) It was really fun seeing so many people so happy and excited. Papa, it seems like an exciting time to be alive. (Mama tried to post more pictures from the rally, but she couldn’t for some strange reason. I learned some new words as she was trying to do it. She told me not to tell you about those words until I was at least twelve. Silly Mama.)

Then Poppy and Mama took me to Ikea. Poppy helped Mama pick out a rug for my room. It's really pretty. Papa, there are arrows on the floor at Ikea! What a strange and busy place.

I also got to see my big girl cousins, Eva Maria (right) and Olivia (left), last night. Uncle Chris and Aunt Lisa brought them to Ballard to visit me, and they helped me take a bath. They are soooooo cool.

I miss you, Papa! Mama tells me that you miss me too. I believe her. Every night, she tells me that you are dreaming of me on the other side of the world. I dream of you too. I can’t wait to see you on Valentine’s Day. I love you to the moon, Papa. Hurry home!

xoxo,
Stella Scout
