Forgive my complete lack of manners in not communicating sooner in congratulating you on the arrival of perhaps the most beautiful baby on the planet. Stella is indeed precious (thanks, Em - is that my Em?) and I know you are both thrilled to have her here with you.
Over the past few months, I have been struggling mightily with some health problems for which I've been taking pretty strong medications so I've been pretty much walking around zombified. But I'm not writing to talk about my ills, just to say why Ive been so neglectful.
So! Back to the very very wonderful, very fabulous and beautiful Stella Scout. Love her name. I can't wait to meet her. She is so perfect in her pictures and you both look so happy as do the grandparents and I can imagine they're quite proud.
Is there anything in the world as wonderful as welcoming into your world your first child? I just can't imagine what it would be. I remember when we left the hospital with Molly. I remember being somewhat surprised that they were actually going to let us leave with her.
In case you're wondering why I'm posting as auntie v, it's because my niece in Ohio is in Uganda for two months and I've been following her on her blog. But auntie v works for me in a lot of ways and I will happily be Auntie V to your precious Stella.
I'm looking forward to meeting her. I'm sitting here with a big smile on my face as I write this because I know you are so thrilled and happy and that makes me very happy, too.
