For the Love of Reading

Totally Immersed...

...in a strange location...

... created quite deliberately by little hands.

(This scene happened as I was cooking in the kitchen. I knew she was up to something by the happy humming and periodic giggles. Phoebe proved a solid conspirator. Oh, for the love of reading.)

Belugas in B.C.

Recently, we ventured up to B.C. to visit the Vancouver Aquarium. And while all the sea life was pretty amazing, the belugas hold a special place in our heart. Phoebe, in particular, is quite smitten with belugas, and it was such a treat to see them in action (albeit a captive and limited bit of action) and watch them "perform" for a short spell.

I don't think Brian or I will ever tire of watching these two from afar. Especially when they naturally and quietly lean into one another. They offer one another such an unspoken and genuine support and comfort. It's a gift to watch.

Little speed racer.

Big speed racer... watch out, Papa.

And yet again, Stanley Park rocks our world. What a gem within a gorgeous city. Now that both girls have their passports, we'll be back again and again.

Uh Oh

Oh dear.

Happy Girl

While washing hands is strangely tortuous for both Stella and Phoebe, occasionally we hit the right moment and it's like an ode to joy. Singing with suds and smiles - a good life.
