Happy One Month!

Stella celebrated her one month birthday this week, and we're really seeing a ton of growth in our little peanut. She's eating like a champ, her grip is now quite strong, she's making a lot of eye contact with mama and papa, she loves bath time (despite the pensive face above) and she's becoming more and more expressive. Smiles are just around the corner! (For those of you who have been following Stella's illustrious punk rock career, you'll be sad to know that her infamous mohawk is now starting to lay down. We're a bit bummed but are quite enamored with her new, more aerodynamic look. It's all about flow, baby.)

The wee Scout enjoyed a lovely afternoon with Poppy on Bellingham Bay. This is one lucky granddaughter.

After a successful fair, cousin Hannah was able to visit and hold the new addition. We're so thrilled that Stella has such wonderful cousins, Hannah, Amelia, Olivia and Eva Maria (and the honorary Abby and Isaac). What amazing role models.

Stella enjoyed a long afternoon with Grandpa and Grandma... of course she slept and ate through the whole visit.

At Stella's first big social gathering, she met one of Katherine's very favorite students, Marcelina.

Welcome to the World, Stella Scout!

We are beyond thrilled to introduce Stella Scout Bressler to the world! Stella decided to join us at 9:36am on Tuesday, July 31st at the beautiful Bellingham Birth Center. (Yup, you Harry Potter fans - Stella shares the boy wizard's birthday!) She weighed in at an impressive 8 lbs. 14.5 oz. and is already a healthy, happy and robust little peanut. Both Katherine and Brian feel indebted to the excellent care and support of midwives Christine and Catriona who helped usher both into parenthood.

We are absolutely mesmerized by Stella Scout and all that she is bringing to our world already. We can't wait to share her with all of the family and friends who have been so supportive through this amazing experience. Here are some opening shots of the gorgeous girl to keep you satisfied. Enjoy!
